Education and Catastrophe

This will be my first real submission to this blog, and it's more a filler for what is to come later when I'm back at my own computer. I will talk a little bit about my plans for future education, and what I'm currently working on.

1. Present time education
Archaeology is fun. Some people don't get how I could be both interested in archaeology and game design, let alone make the "mistake" of chosing the "wrong" type of education. I simply thought I had to put my relatively good grades from high school to some use.

2. Future education
"What do you expect from this education?" - that was one of the questions I was asked during a conversation with a student councillor from a school I most likely will attend. What I expect is of course to develop skills in 3D design and animation, as well as push my artistic ability to a more professional level. I also expect to have a lot of fun while learning as well as making new friends.

3. Current Project: "Catastrophe"
Some have already heard about this, but for you who haven't: Catastrophe is a game project under my design. I've been planning, drawing and writing for almost two years now. The game is planned to be a classic RPG, with a turn-based battle system, although there are some strategic features that will help seperate it from the huge amount of RPGs that are out on the market. I was making 2D graphics for the game, although now I think I am going to change it to 3D as I learn how to work with it in an engine. I won't be giving away much details on it here right now, but if you are interested, I will upload drawings and story elements later. Sometime there might even be a website for the project.
