This will be my first real submission to this blog, and it's more a filler for what is to come later when I'm back at my own computer. I will talk a little bit about my plans for future education, and what I'm currently working on.
1. Present time education
Archaeology is fun. Some people don't get how I could be both interested in archaeology and game design, let alone make the "mistake" of chosing the "wrong" type of education. I simply thought I had to put my relatively good grades from high school to some use.
2. Future education
"What do you expect from this education?" - that was one of the questions I was asked during a conversation with a student councillor from a school I most likely will attend. What I expect is of course to develop skills in 3D design and animation, as well as push my artistic ability to a more professional level. I also expect to have a lot of fun while learning as well as making new friends.
3. Current Project: "Catastrophe"
Some have already heard about this, but for you who haven't: Catastrophe is a game project under my design. I've been planning, drawing and writing for almost two years now. The game is planned to be a classic RPG, with a turn-based battle system, although there are some strategic features that will help seperate it from the huge amount of RPGs that are out on the market. I was making 2D graphics for the game, although now I think I am going to change it to 3D as I learn how to work with it in an engine. I won't be giving away much details on it here right now, but if you are interested, I will upload drawings and story elements later. Sometime there might even be a website for the project.

Welcome
This is your standard welcoming message to anyone new to my blog. First things first - I have some good friends who doesn't share my native tounge, hence the English language.
Who am I?
I am Lars Erik, or Lars if you prefer, while writing this I am studying archaeology at the Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU), but that won't last, as I have plans on studying what I really want: Game design. My biggest interests are games and art (concept art, 3D, etc), that said - I also enjoy walking in mountains and forests, and working out.
What's this blog for?
I will be using this blog to show off some of my work, and also talk about what we do in my future studies, and about my own personal projects. If anything else comes up that I find interesting enough to post, or there's just something special I want to share, then it'll probably end up here.
Having said this, I welcome you all to join in and comment as I embark on my personal epic journey in search of creativity and fun as well as dealing with whatever challenges the road I have taken might bring.
